The debut album from Tarrus Riley, titled
Challenges (2004), was released on the small independent label
Ya Man Music. With production from legendary reggae saxophonist, Dean Fraser, it features songs like “Larger Than Life,” “Take Me Higher,” and my personal favorite, “Barber Chair.” The album was later re-released in 2008 on
VP Records with two additional tracks, "Love Created I," (
August Town Riddim), & "Save The Children." This album gives a look back at the early stages of one of reggae's current heavy hitters.
