Buy Out Riddim

In 2001, VP Records presented the Buy Out Riddim as the nineteenth installment of their 'Riddim Driven' series.  It's a simple dancehall riddim that features a wicked backdrop that will get you moving.  Sean Paul leads the way with his hit song, "Like Glue," a song that peaked at thirteenth on the Billboard Top 100.  My favorite track is T.O.K's anthem, "Money to Burn," a song expressing they 'just got paid and got a little money to burn.'  The 'King of Dancehall,' Beenie Man, produces a solid track in "Miss L.A.P." (which stands for Lovely Awesome Person).  Elan sounds good on his re-makes of two classic songs, Neil Diamond's, "Red Red Wine," and Bob Marley's, "Put It On."  I don't like a lot of dancehall, but this riddim is definitely a classic.
