Zion Gate Riddim

The Zion Gate Riddim was first heard in 1977, when legend Joe Gibbs produced Culture's, "Zion Gate."  In 2001, Lion Paw released a new age version that featured a bunch of good songs.  Half Pint's, "Suzie," and Luciano's, "Come Away," are both classics.  George Nooks sounds great on his re-make of the title track, "Zion Gate," and Junior Kelly is at his best on, "You Can Make It."  My favorite tune is Warrior King's "Virtuous Woman," (also the title of his debut album 'Virtuous Woman').

The Wailers & Duane Stephenson- Monday, November 21 @ Higher Ground

On Monday, November 21st, The Wailers will be headlining at Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont.  Originally consisting of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh & Bunny Wailer, the band now carries on their legacy, performing Marley songs all night long.  If you haven't seen the Wailers before, I highly recommend checking them out.  Who doesn't love Bob Marley?  Duane Stephenson is the opening act.  He's a poetic lover's rock singer who has worked with artists such as Dean Fraser & Tarrus Riley.  His most popular song is "August Town."
