Automatic Riddim

The Automatic Riddim was released in 2009 on Penthouse Records and was one of the best lover's rock riddims of the year.  The biggest hit and my favorite track is Richie Spice's conscious vibe, "Jah Never Let Us Down," (also featured on his album Book of Job).  Romain Virgo produces another hit with, "Love Doctor," while Marcia Griffiths sounds good on both her solo track, "Love Is Automatic," and her unlikely combination alongside Busy Signal, titled "Keeping It Real."  Also check out Queen Ifrica's, "Lioness On The Rise," not featured on this album.

Bomboflow Riddim

Straight out of Burlington, Vermont, Selector Dubee and Upsetta Records released the Bomboflow Riddim in August, 2011.  It has an upbeat vibe & old school baseline, and has to be the hit riddim of Fall 2011.  Collie Buddz leads the way with his hit tune "Too Watchy," while Kali Blaxx produces an equally strong tune in "Farmer Man."  The always steady Admiral Tibet produces another good one titled, "Give A Little," while newcomers Fyakin and Zamunda give us glimpses of their young careers with "Old Vibes," and "Change Gonna Come."

Dis Ya Time Riddim

Bost & Bim produced the Dis Ya Time Riddim in 2007, a re-make of the original 1975 Ital's tune, "Ina Dis Ya Time," (also previously relicked by Yellowman on his 1980 tune/riddim, "Operation Radication").  Queen Omega gives us the best song with "Big Up Papa," paying tribute to her 'heavenly father.'  Sizzla preaches "Good Over Evil," Natty King sings 'one time' "For My People," and the 3-the-hard-way combination of Lyricson, Natty King, and Singing Melody sound good together on "Government Live Fi War."

Buy Out Riddim

In 2001, VP Records presented the Buy Out Riddim as the nineteenth installment of their 'Riddim Driven' series.  It's a simple dancehall riddim that features a wicked backdrop that will get you moving.  Sean Paul leads the way with his hit song, "Like Glue," a song that peaked at thirteenth on the Billboard Top 100.  My favorite track is T.O.K's anthem, "Money to Burn," a song expressing they 'just got paid and got a little money to burn.'  The 'King of Dancehall,' Beenie Man, produces a solid track in "Miss L.A.P." (which stands for Lovely Awesome Person).  Elan sounds good on his re-makes of two classic songs, Neil Diamond's, "Red Red Wine," and Bob Marley's, "Put It On."  I don't like a lot of dancehall, but this riddim is definitely a classic.
